10) My First Ever Frat Party

Hello everyone!

Today's post is about my first ever 'Frat Party' experience. Before I left for America, I had heard several different stories of 'Frat boys' and what they're 'like'. I can safely say in my experience all of this is entirely false. My first day here I met a frat boy who kindly drove me to target in order for me to pick up some stuff and since then has remained a good friend. His names Josh and he lives next door to me, and is more than willing to help anyone out who needs it.

So for me, I wasn't worried about attending the infamous frat parties in the slightest, as I was pretty certain it would be just like your regular party.

I was wrong, so very wrong.

We were told it was a very formal event so all the girls wore dresses and heels and the boys in shirts and ties. Here's a couple of pictures of this!

We decided to get a taxi there, and pulled up to a golf court. Outside was tons of frats and all of them were wearing suit and tie. The party itself was.. interesting. I think we arrived a tad late, as it was a ton of very drunk people who could barely stand. Not really my scene when i'm as sober as anything! Regardless, we decided to mingle and socialise, but unfortunately our attempts fell flat as everyone was too busy drinking/throwing up. For me, it felt kind of 'teen disco'-esque just with a lot of alcohol.

Regardless, here are a couple of pictures within the party.

Although interesting, it was definitely an experience. If invited, I will try out the next party too, as I think under normal circumstance they're in the frat houses on greek row - i'll keep you updated!
